Introduction
Teaching Activities
- Pour some water into a glass on a sturdy table. (Fill it all the way up to the brim.) Gently shake the table and watch what happens. In what way is this analogous to your life? When troubles hit, what come out of you? Spend some time in solitude to reflect on what has filled your life and what brings these things out of you.
- Identify an important decision that you need to make. Diagram the way you're thinking, feeling, and experiences inform the process of making that decision. How is this different than the way you normally make decisions? Does Scripture, tradition, reason, and experience show up on your map?
- Make a list of your non-negotiables. Share them with others until you find someone that disagrees with you. Treat them to coffee to better understand why they think the way they do.
